Donor Highlights
Joe and Jean Crocker
MREA would like to thank Joe and Jean Crocker of Minnesota, who are long-time members and supporters of our organization. They attend the Energy Fair each year and help promote our workshops and activities by sharing them with relatives and friends. You can often find Joe helping staff move chairs during Energy Fair set up, or parking cars with a big smile out in the dust and/or rain.Thank you Joe and Jean Crocker!
Susan Cunningham and Land's End
Lands' End, located in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, inspires their employees to volunteer in the communities where they live and work by providing a matching donation for each hour employees donate to their community. This year, as well as for the previous 11 years, Susan Cunningham volunteered at the MREA's Energy Fair teaching workshops about how to build insulated window quilts. These quilts are energy efficient window coverings that add 7.69R value to the windows. Susan chose to direct the Lands' End contribution to the MREA, giving a $100.00 donation for our education programs.Thank you Susan Cunningham and Lands' End!
Alternate Source, Inc.
This summer, Neil Thompson from Alternate Source Inc. of Indianapolis, IN, attended the MREA’s PV System Design and Installation Lab course. The PV Lab course is designed to provide new installers with basic hands-on experience installing two separate roof mounted solar electric systems. Mr. Thompson was so impressed with the course that he offered to help MREA further develop our solar training programs. The result – a $10,000 donation for additional PV training equipment. The MREA is working with Christopher LaForge, from Great Northern Solar, to develop a plan for the equipment that will help students gain further experience that will lead to NABCEP certification.
Thank you Mr. Thompson and Alternate Source, Inc.
