Our Mission:
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration.

Renewable Energy Systems

At the Institute you can see, hear, and touch real working renewable energy systems. These include:

a 3.6 kW Jacobs wind turbine,

a 20 kW Jacobs wind turbine,

an off-grid PV system, powering a DC powered SunFrost refrigerator,

a grid intertie PV system, installed by Great Northern Solar,

a grid intertie PV system, with battery back-up, installed by PV Systems,Co.,

dual and single axis PV trackers made by WattSun,

a PV training roof,

and a masonry stove, built by Gimme Shelter Construction.
